We love to share our passion for yacht cruising by teaching you, your partner, your children or friends how to sail.
From hoisting, setting and reefing sails to holding a course, sailing upwind and downwind. From launching and driving the tender to preparing meals and drinks in the galley whilst heading to a new overnight destination, we have the experience to make learning fun.
Introduction to Yachting
This is a short introduction to sailing for complete beginners.
Many of our guests fit this course into a villa or hotel holiday in Mallorca, Menorca or Ibiza.
By the end of the 2 days, you will have experienced steering a yacht, sail handling, ropework and be aware of safety on board.
Aboard Lady Jomo, you will also have explored some of the most beautiful coastal scenery that the islands can offer and enjoyed our legendary hospitality.
This course is for beginners and those who would like to become active crew members rather than just passengers.
Experience living on board and really get to know the boat. Virtually all the course is hands on. You are the crew - without you the sails won't go up and the boat won't be steered.
By the end of the course you should be able to steer, handle sails, keep a lookout, row a dinghy and assist in all the day to day duties on board.
Living aboard Lady Jomo for 5 days/4 nights, you will also have visited some beautiful anchorages and had a thoroughly memorable holiday.
A week for aspiring skippers with some yachting experience and basic navigation and sailing skills.
Learn to plan and execute a short passage - with us on hand to give advice and encouragement and ensure your crew's safety.
We will cover: Preparing the boat and crew for sea, checking for maintenance issues, navigation, pilotage, meteorology, rules of the road, engine and systems maintenance, stocking the galley and preparing meals at sea, emergency situations, yacht handling under power, yacht handling under sail, passage making, night cruising.
